This program is part of Bloomington Reads, a community reading program series which encourages people to read and talk about the same book or, in 2024, the same topic.

The English Language Conversations Group, offered in partnership with STAR Adult Literacy, is designed for adults for whom English is a second language.

When a strange, violent storm forces your party to hide in a cavern, you discover a nefarious plot. It’s up to you to put a stop to these plans to engulf the land in eternal darkness!

Tinkercad Codeblocks is a software program which allows blocks of code to create designs for 3D-printing models.

Join us at Miller Park Zoo for a family night zoovie. Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Mutant Mayhem (PG) will be shown at 8pm.

In celebration of the 2024 Summer Reading theme -- Read. Renew. Repeat. -- teens will create festival lanterns from recycled materials, including used soda bottles, used magazines, and an assortment of paper.

Teens who register for this program will create 3D-Printable Wind Spinner designs using Tinkercad. After the program ends, Library staff will print the designs.

Intro to Fresco

Teens will explore graphic art and illustration using the free Adobe software Fresco, a program based off of Adobe's original Illustrator software.

While adventuring, your party stumbles upon a long-forgotten crypt hidden in the forest. As you explore the tomb, you realize that not all is at is seems, and that the tomb seems to have a life of its own.

Succulent Pot Painting for Teens

Teens will paint a small terracotta pot, complete with a succulent plant, to take home! Create a unique summer memory.

After two long years of construction, Bloomington Public Library is ready to introduce the public to its expanded and renovated building!

Teens will use recycled soda bottles and cardboard to construct a flying airplane that they will power with a DC motor and battery.

Teen End of Summer Reading Party

If teens, as a group, read for 5,000+ hours this summer, they will earn a teen-only, after-hours party with pizza, snacks, and prizes.

The Animals Around the World show, presented by Incredible Bats, Inc., will take you on a journey by continent across the globe.
