LIBRARY CLOSURE - May 20-23

Bloomington Library will be CLOSED Monday-Thursday, May 20-23.

The Bookmobile will make its stops during these closures. The Bookmobile schedule is available at bit.ly/bookmobileschedule.

  • Monday’s English Conversation Group will meet at STAR Literacy (201 E. Grove St.)
  • Tuesday’s Fiction Book Club will meet online via Zoom. Visit bit.ly/fiction521 to register for this program and receive the Zoom link.

This closure will allow us to continue to unbox 107,000 books (which were moved to storage when our construction project began) and to shelve 262,000 books. Some collections and areas of the library will not be available until the library reopens on Friday, May 24.

Program Description

Would you like an easy-to-understand plan to to manage your health care costs with less stress? Join financial consultants Bernie Wrezinski and Greg Fahrenkrug for this program. They are members of the Institute for Financial Education, which offers free financial workshops in our community.

The topics that will be covered are:

  • The latest changes to Medicare
  • An overview of what Medicare covers (and what it does not).
  • The different parts of Medicare and how they work.

With health care costs on the rise, learn how to plan for and mitigate these expenses. Get simple answers to common questions about plan coverage and policies. Learn the differences between Medicare Advantage plans, Medicare Supplement plans, and original Medicare. 

Registration is only required for those who wish to attend online. Registration can be completed online below, by calling 309.590.6168, or by visiting the Help Desk on the Library's 2nd floor. Those attending in person DO NOT need to register.
