LIBRARY CLOSURE - May 20-23

Bloomington Library will be CLOSED Monday-Thursday, May 20-23.

The Bookmobile will make its stops during these closures. The Bookmobile schedule is available at bit.ly/bookmobileschedule.

  • Monday’s English Conversation Group will meet at STAR Literacy (201 E. Grove St.)
  • Tuesday’s Fiction Book Club will meet online via Zoom. Visit bit.ly/fiction521 to register for this program and receive the Zoom link.

This closure will allow us to continue to unbox 107,000 books (which were moved to storage when our construction project began) and to shelve 262,000 books. Some collections and areas of the library will not be available until the library reopens on Friday, May 24.

Program Description

Dungeons & Dragons: The Wild Sheep Chase

Join us online for a night of online Dungeons and Dragons in which we'll explore the adventure: The Wild Sheep Chase.

We will be playing 5E Dungeons and Dragons, using Roll20 and Zoom. A mic, headset, and a free account at Roll20.net are needed. Pre-generated characters will be provided if desired, but you will have the option of rolling your own 4th-level character for the event.

Registration can be completed online below or by calling 309.590.6141. Those who register will receive a confirmation email which will include a link to the Zoom discussion. They will also receive an email from daleb@bloomingtonlibrary.org which will include an invitation to the Roll20 event and discuss character options. 
 

THE ADVENTURE:

During a rare period of downtime for your adventuring party, you are disturbed by a frantic sheep equipped with a Scroll of Speak to Animals and a fierce determination to get your attention. This is no mere beast, however, but a wizard fallen victim to an embittered apprentice wielding a Wand of True Polymorph! It's up to your party to decide whether and how to help the unfortunate wizard in his attempts to return to his former self. First, you may have to deal with a few assassins hunting down your new wooly companion ...
